Palliative Care
Palliative Care also referred to as comfort care, supportive care and symptom management, is a comprehensive approach to treating a life-threatening or severely advanced illness. The goal of Palliative Care is to prevent or treat as early as possible the symptoms and side effects of the disease. It focuses on the physical, psychological, spiritual, and existential needs of the patient. Its aim is to achieve the best quality of life available to the patient by relieving suffering and controlling pain and symptoms.
